I’m Vanessa, originally from New Jersey, raised in South Florida. I spent four amazing years of my life living in New Orleans. Today, I call Northern New Jersey my home. I’ve been a stylist since 2010. I specialize in blondes, balayage, and color corrections. I take pride in continuing my education so that I can always utilize the latest techniques on my clients hair. I travel for advanced color classes at least three times a year.

Hi, I’m Mazie (pronounced May-zee). Although I was born in NJ, I lived the first ten years of my life in sunny California where my love for warm weather and the outdoors was born. My family moved back to Jersey when I was ten and it’s been home ever since. I try to get back to Cali every chance I get, often it’s for a hair class. I am inspired by nature so as soon as the weather is nice I’m outdoors, hiking, at the beach, and dining al fresco.
In 2008 I left the corporate world to pursue my passion for doing hair and haven’t looked back. I keep an eye on emerging trends in the industry and attend
advanced classes monthly to keep my skills current and offer the latest techniques. I value genuine connection, learning, and quality over quantity. I’ve been to salons where I felt I wasn’t cool enough to be there and others that left me feeling I was just a number. It is important to me that everyone who sits in my chair feels welcomed, valued, and pampered. I take pride in helping clients embrace their personal style and seeing the smile on their faces when we’ve achieved it. Hair is the accessory you never take off, you should love it. Witnessing that extra pep in your step at the end of your appointment gives me life.

My personal aesthetic is eclectic. I love the combination of opposite styles. For example classic with trendy, laid back/relaxed with a hint of glam, West Coast and East Coast, feminine and masculine. You get the picture.
In my free time, I enjoy trying new restaurants and recipes with my husband, watching stand-up comedy, and listening to podcasts, and audiobooks on business, personal development, and neuroscience.
